GTK03 – River Kwai Kanchanaburi, Death Railway Train Ride and Hellfire Pass – Group Tour

Group Tour Itinerary –

06:15-07:00 Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and travel to the meeting point at Khaosan Road in Bangkok.

07:15 Depart from the meeting point at Khaosan Road and travel to the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi.

09:30 Arrive in Kanchanaburi and visit the River Kwai Bridge spanning the Khwae Yai river in Kanchanaburi which was constructed by prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation of Thailand during the second world war and then visit the nearby War Cemetery and the JEATH War Museum which shows many artifacts and photos with explanations and also models from this sad period in history.

10:30 Train ride along the Death Railway (about 45-60 mins).

12:15 Lunch at local Thai restaurant.

13:00 Transfer to Hellfire Pass and Hellfire Pass Museum where you can walk along the railway tracks cutting through the mountain which was constructed by prisoners of war. Visit the shrine that was built for those who lost their lives building the Death Railway.

15:00 Depart from Hellfire Pass to return to Bangkok.

17:30-18:00 Arrive back in Bangkok at Khaosan Road or Sam Yot MRT train station (upon request).

Remark : The itinerary order is subject to change depending on traffic and/or weather conditions.

If you are not located in any of our pickup areas you will need to make your own way to one of the following meeting points –

• Khaosan Road – In front of Chana Songkhram Police Station at the end of Khaosan Road opposite Wat Chana Songkram
