GTM01 – Mae Klong Railway Market and Amphawa Floating Market (Fri-Sat-Sun) – Group Tour

Group Tour Itinerary –

12:50-13:00 Pick up from the meeting point at Khaosan Road in Bangkok.

13:15 Depart from the meeting point at Khaosan Road and travel to the Mae Klong Railway Market.

14:30 Arrive at the Mae Klong Railway Market which is set up on both sides of local railway tracks with trains passing through about eight times each day. Each time a train comes through vendors will close their awnings and umbrellas to make room for the train to pass. Although the Mae Klong Railway Market is just a regular fresh market the daily excitement of the passing trains and subsequent market activity to make way for the moving locomotives makes for an amazing market experience.

15:20 Depart from the Mae Klong Railway Market and transfer to the Amphawa Floating Market.

16:00 Visit the Amphawa Floating Market which is one of the most famous floating markets in Thailand. At Amphawa Floating Market you will get to experience a traditional Thai floating market with local sellers offering produce from their boats and their waterside stalls and lots of different local foods and cuisines to try and taste.

18:15 Take a boat ride to see the beautiful fireflies as they shimmer and sparkle hypnotically above the water.

19:30 Depart from Amphawa Floating Market to return to Bangkok.

21:00-21:30 Arrive back in Bangkok at Khaosan Road or Sam Yot MRT train station (upon request).

Amphawa fireflies disclaimer – The Amphawa fireflies are a beautiful and natural phenomenon, however, on any given day they may be present only in small numbers or may not even be present at all. Unfortunately we have no control over the fireflies presence at Amphawa and can not always guarantee that they will be seen during your tour.
