The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) proudly presents “Catch the Moon | Chatchai Puipia | The Caught Years”, a landmark retrospective and the most extensive exhibition ever dedicated to Chatchai Puipia. Recognised as a pivotal figure in contemporary Thai art, Chatchai’s incisive visual language and sharp social commentary have influenced artistic discourse in Thailand and across Asia.

Over more than four decades, Chatchai has cultivated a body of work deeply rooted in identity, memory, and the complexities of human perception. His practice blends meticulous observation with profound self-reflection, creating an artistic legacy that continues to resonate on the global stage.

The exhibition features more than 140 works, including iconic paintings, powerful sculptures, rarely seen installations, and newly unveiled pieces. Accompanying these are writings, documents, and personal photographs that offer rare insight into the artist’s creative universe—where art, memory, and imagination converge.

We warmly welcome all visitors and symbolically offer a “key” to unlock the world of “Catch the Moon.” Step inside to discover the meanings, ideals, and artistic philosophies that have shaped Chatchai Puipia’s journey, and become part of a new chapter beginning here.

How to Get There by BTS / MRT

BTS Skytrain:
Take the BTS Silom Line or Sukhumvit Line to National Stadium Station (W1). Use Exit 3, which connects directly to the BACC building.

MRT Subway:
Take the MRT Blue Line to Sam Yan Station, Exit 2. Walk around 15–20 minutes, or transfer to the BTS at Si Lom / Sala Daeng and continue to National Stadium Station.

หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร ภูมิใจนำเสนอ “บ้า น จับพระจันทร์ | ชาติชาย ปุยเปีย | The Caught Years” นิทรรศการรำลึกครั้งสำคัญและครบถ้วนที่สุดของชาติชาย ปุยเปีย ศิลปินร่วมสมัยผู้ทรงอิทธิพล ผู้เป็นที่รู้จักจากภาษาภาพอันเฉียบคมและการเสียดสีสังคมอย่างลุ่มลึก

ตลอดเวลากว่า 40 ปี ชาติชายได้พัฒนากระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ที่หยั่งรากในตัวตน ความทรงจำ และความซับซ้อนของการรับรู้ ผลงานของเขาผสานการสังเกตอย่างละเอียดเข้ากับการทบทวนตนเองอย่างลึกซึ้ง จนเกิดเป็นมรดกทางศิลปะที่ทรงอิทธิพลต่อศิลปินทั่วเอเชียและในระดับนานาชาติ

นิทรรศการประกอบด้วยผลงานมากกว่า 140 ชิ้น ทั้งจิตรกรรมชิ้นเด่น ประติมากรรมทรงพลัง ศิลปะจัดวางที่พบเห็นได้ยาก ไปจนถึงผลงานใหม่ที่จัดแสดงเป็นครั้งแรก พร้อมด้วยเอกสาร ข้อเขียน และภาพถ่ายส่วนตัวของศิลปิน ที่เปิดโลกเบื้องหลังความคิดสร้างสรรค์ของชาติชายอย่างลึกซึ้ง
