Day 1: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, River Kwai Kanchanaburi, Elephant Riding, Elephant Bathing and Bamboo Rafting – Group Tour
06:15-07:00 Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and travel to the meeting point at Khaosan Road in Bangkok.
07:15 Depart from the meeting point at Khaosan Road and travel to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
09:00 Arrive at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will encounter a lively scene with vendors selling goods from traditional wooden boats along picturesque canals. Expect colorful umbrellas, fresh produce, authentic Thai street food, and souvenir shopping. This is a unique cultural experience offering insights into Thai traditions and daily life. You will take a longtail boat (10 mins) to the main part of the floating market and will then have 1 hour of free time to walk around and visit the many different stalls and traders at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
11:00 Depart from the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and travel to Kanchanaburi.
13:00 Lunch at a local Thai restaurant.
13:45 Visit the River Kwai Bridge spanning the Khwae Yai River in Kanchanaburi which was constructed by prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation of Thailand during the Second World War.
14:30 Depart from the River Kwai Bridge and travel to the Elephant camp for Elephant riding or elephant feeding, Elephant bathing, and Bamboo rafting.
16:00 Depart from the Elephant camp and return to the group at the River Kwai Bridge.
16:30 Arrive at Kanchanaburi Guesthouse and stay overnight.
Day 2: Erawan Waterfalls and Death Railway Train Ride – Group Tour
08:30 Breakfast
09:00-09:30 Pick up from Kanchanaburi Guesthouse and visit the JEATH War Museum which shows many artifacts and photos with explanations and models from this sad period in history.
10:30 Train ride along the Death Railway (about 60 mins).
12:00 Lunch at a local Thai restaurant.
12:30 Visit the beautiful Erawan Waterfalls which consist of 7 waterfall levels, stunning water pools, and natural tracks and trails to explore.
16:00 Depart from Erawan Waterfalls to return to Bangkok.
19:00-19:30 Arrive back in Bangkok at Khaosan Road or Sam Yot MRT train station (upon request).
Remark: This is a shared group tour and the minibus driver will be picking up guests from their respective hotels in order. Sometimes there can be delays with pickups due to traffic congestion.
